Keep in touch with home while you’re away.

If you’re away on holiday or spending part of the year elsewhere, Home Check visits provide a record of what was observed at your property. Homeowners also call this home watch. We follow the agreed checklist and send a written update after each visit.

Before you go, we’ll walk through the accessible areas, discuss what is normal for the house and agree on any mail or plant routines. Tell us who should receive the reports and who can make a decision if we notice a concern.

If you’d like cleaning before your return, we can quote that as a separate appointment. Check the required visit interval with your insurer or broker, then ask us to confirm availability for that schedule.

DBC is not a security company and does not provide guarding, patrols, surveillance, alarm response, or emergency response.

Home Check is a scheduled visual visit, rather than a technical building inspection or a guarantee against loss.

Let us know if travel dates change. Home Check visits and a return-home clean need their own agreed dates and access arrangements.

Yes, by agreement. Tell us which products you’d like used and where. We also bring our own supplies and equipment.

Can I arrange cleaning while I’m away?

Yes, if the appointment and access are agreed in advance. Cleaning can be booked on its own or alongside a Home Check schedule.

Will you water plants during an Oak Bay Home Check visit?
