A scheduled visual check while you are away
A home watch visit is a scheduled visual check of an unoccupied house, condo, vacation home, or seasonal residence.
DBC follows a written checklist for your home, records visible conditions, and reports anything that needs attention. House checks can be arranged for vacations, seasonal absences, work travel, or longer trips.
Interior + exterior home checks
Visible perimeter, doors, windows, exterior fixtures, storm effects, unexpected activity, and signs of water or pest concerns.
Temperature, agreed humidity readings, unusual odours or sounds, lighting, power indicators, and visible changes within accessible areas.
Visible plumbing points, ceilings, floors, appliances, and utility settings reviewed against the approved residence protocol.
Mail and parcels collected, brought inside, or placed according to your written instructions.
Agreed indoor plants watered according to the care instructions established before your departure.
Arrival and departure times, completed checkpoints, relevant photographs, observations, and any decision required from the homeowner.
DBC provides scheduled visual observations of readily accessible areas. Home watch is not a security patrol, alarm response, technical building inspection, property management service, or guarantee against loss.
Controlled access / relevant reportingA report after every visit
Each report is designed to be useful from a distance. It records the visit, confirms completion of the agreed checkpoints, includes relevant photographs, and identifies any observation or action that needs your decision.
Confirm your own policy wording
Vacancy and unoccupancy conditions vary by insurer and policy. Before departure, confirm the minimum home-check interval and other requirements directly with your insurer or broker. DBC can meet that minimum and arrange more frequent visits whenever you want additional oversight.
